Washing brushes
I have had a realisation... that whenever i move in a different direction to try something new.... i wash my brushes!.
When I'm working on a series or busy painting I just use every brush i have or reuse them and then they stay in jars of water.... then i will leave them for a week or so... not even thinking of them.
But last night I was thinking of some new work and charging up for something new.... and i wanted to wash my brushes. start afresh.
This lead me to muse that I do this habitually!!!
...just a quirk I thought I'd share...

Torn pages evolves...
In keeping with the torn pages series , I have been painting on the spines of books... they look awesome framed!
Coutour... the series
Another series I have been doing is 'Couture'. Collaging dress making patterns onto canvas and painting dress making dummies on them...
Torn pages are selling really well at the Art and Soul Gallery in Boonah. Check out the full range on their website http://www.artandsoulgallery.com.au/

From torn pages...
I have been playing around with some new works. I have been tearing pages out of old books of mine... then finding a word or words that speak to me then painting or illustrating them. They are alot of fun and keeping me busy in the studio!
